I just picked up my 'new' car last night. 2003 A4 Avant 1.9 TDi Quattro Sport.
There are lots of threads on retrofitting cruise and DIS. Does the fact that i have a sports wheel (so not multifunction) affect the parts i need in anyway?
There's a kit here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360273114708&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
will this suffice.
if anyone has a definitive parts list for my model I'd be grateful.

Many thanks,

Phil

thanks for the link. it's a mindfield. Not sure if mine is lowline or highline. It's a 1900 quattro manual sport.
Where the best place for the parts I need to get started, this ebay link in my original mail or some other place. I was kind of hoping to just get a parts list to take to a dealer, or is this not the best option. Also DIS would be a nice thing to have, not seen any kits for that.
Cheers,

Phil

ive just done all this, basically i bought the lot from a dismantled car including cruise stalk, dis stalk, slipring mfsw compatable, control module rev Q and the lower steering column cover all for £140 from ebay. fitted and coded as per the previous link another £25, You need to find out what revision of your steering control module you have first so you know if you need one or not. vag-com is the only real way to do this. All the parts i listed above add up at a dealers to big £££ so if you can find a damaged b6 or b7 chassis with the correct parts then snap them up. One thing to remember is that the dis stalk is different for a saloon to an avant due to the rear wash wipe. german ebay is good for all these parts if you search for b6/7 tempomat. I didnt keep a note of the part numbers except for the dis avant stalk this is 8e0 953 503 c although if it starts with 4e0 this also works ok.

dug up these also
8e0 953 549Q is the control module part number compatable with a multifunction steering wheel(mfsw)
4e0 953 541 a is the slipring part number again for a multifunction steering wheel(mfsw)

these also work with your steering wheel. i know this as this is what i have

Ok. I'll give my vag-com a go tonight and try and get some numbers out of it. I wasn't sure if my lack of MFSW would cause an issue or not. Thanks for your help, I'll post more tonight, fingers crossed I have a compatible system!

Address 16: Steering wheel
Controller: 8E0 953 549 F
Component: Lenksáulenmodul 0308
Coding: 00002
Shop #: WSC 63351
No fault code found.

this is the controller I have, so is the 'Q version the only one that will work on my car with cruise, or is it the DIS that needs it.

dis will work with all steering control units, cruise is will work with q and r and also supports dis
then goto address 01 enable cruise via login and then goto address 16 enable cruise and dis
then goto address 17 adaption channel 19 and add dis to the current figure then earth oin 1 of the blue multi plug on the dash to fool the dash insert washer level circuit which low line does not support or search this forum for the how to with part numbers and coding instructions
