Hello every one and just wanted to say that this is my first post on this forum so plese do not shout at me straight away as i really need a help.
i have audi a6 2.0 tdi se with BLB engine from 2005. Recently my car lost power and the EML come up so i connected it to comp for foult check and this come up with P0243 so i have changed both solenoids which i have bought recently from audi dealer and still the same no power. i also have had various checks done as my collegue have got a garrage and he checked all the pipes for leakage and also checked the turbo manually and he said that its working perfect he also chesked the underpressure and stick the camera to egr and also fine im thinking of the last thing which is on my mind -- will it be a MAF sensor -- and how you suggest to check it . Please help me as driving this car without turbo boost is like driving a lory but lil bit slower up hill . Thank you very much.

Hi,
last month i has the same problem. 2.0l, 2005, blb engine as well. :)
16618 - overboost condition - P0234
I've changed both - the solenoid valve and charge pressure control valve.
The problem was the turbo was pulsing around 2000rpm (didn't giving me enough power) and turning off around 3000 - 3500rpm all the time. than i needed to stop, turning off the engine and turning back on and turbo was back.

At least my solution was removing the turbo, opening it and cleaning the part witch connects to exhaust, because wastegate/pump on the turbo was not able to open/close correctly (it was blocked by lot of exhaust soot inside the turbo).
Now its works like new.

Let me know of any progress.

Hi rypp3r thank you for your reply just wanted to let you know that I gave my car today to my friend mechanic and he have finally sort my problem out. He said that at the very beginning he have been thinking that this was a problem with a ECU because the fault P0243 was pending whatever he have been trying to do but he decided to check the cables but he was very sceptical about it as for so many years of experience with VAG cars he came across only once with worn wiring and this was 10 years old passat buy gave it a go and he was write the cable going from ECU to the solenoids were absolutely worn so he replaced the wiring loom with the new cables better quality then the ones coming from audi manufacture as he described the original cables were very thin and when the engine was running the plastic tube they're in been rubbing against them. I did my test drive going back home and the car is absolutely flying it's like a rocket now I even think it's running better then 2 years ago when I bought it

Hi everyone. Im sorry if this has been covered elsewhere but im new to this. I have been looking at different forums but cant seem to get an answer. I have a 2008 audi a6 2.0tdi 140bhp. Ive owned the car 6 months and all has been well.

Very recently the car lacks power between 1500rpm to 2000rpm im all gears.it does not do this all the time it just has its moments on occasions. When this does happen and im on the motorway in.6th gear the car loses all power and struggles to get past 3000rpm or 80mph.i travel 60miles a day on the motorway.

I have recently had a full service complete with fuel filter, oil filter, air filter changed..ive also had the forte cleaning treatment too. Please can someone point me in the right direction or recommend a good audi specialist near blackburn. No lights have come on the dashboard either. The car is on 125k and full audi dealership history. I hear there are some very knowledgeble blokes on here who may be help

Thanks a million

Kal

Kal is it manual or multitronic?

If the latter has it had it's fluid change every 40k miles?

You need a code read of the engine management system, I suspect you will have a turbo over-boost code stored.
