Hi,

Just read the codes on a friend of mine VW Bettle, - (thought i would post here as its the 1.6i, Same as in the Golf)

If any one is able to help giving a little bit more information of the codes that will be great..

P1141
Load Calculation Cross Check Range/Performance

16497
P0113
Intake Air Temp.Circ High Input

16486
P0102
Mass or Volume Air Flow Circ Low Input

16555
P0171
Fuel Trim,Bank1 System too Lean

In the meantime, We have cleared the codes and will give it a few days to see what returns..

Cheers

Rick

I would save it as a Favourite/Bookmark if I was you as it's very useful for VAG COM users

I suspect a dicky MAF with code 2. Unsure on the others. MIght just be intermittent ones stored from some little blip the car had a while ago. :)

i agree with jason, sounds like a dodgy MAF to me, are there any other symptoms the car's experiencing at the moment?

im unsure about the first code, but the last 3 all sound related to me. i always remember that just because sensor reads a fault, does not mean its faulty, sometimes its just that it is related to another faulty part... if you understand me?

I get ya..

The MAF was replaced about 3 months ago, And the codes where not cleared i dont think... so they could be a few red herring's thrown in there..

As i say.. the engine light had come on again... so i have cleared the codes and told him to do a few miles and we will take it from there...

I will report back once i have reread the codes after a few hundred miles or so....
