Hi all, hoping someone else on here has 19" alloys fitted to a similar vintage A4 avant as mine.
Recently bought my 2004 A4 Avant, which has had the above alloys fitted. I've read elsewhere that 32psi is about right, but hopefully someone else on here has some official info... manual doesn't include this tyre size!
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Oz

Obviously I have a cab but same wheels and I do 38, started on 32 but they were rubbing big time on the insides, Zero rim protection though and I find 38 harsh but have done 30k and still a lot of rubber left.

Much appreciated. Looks like we have the same wheels. Started by using 32psi, but may up that a little now.
Cheers.

I'm also running 38 on this set now after chewing through numerous front tyres over the last few years. Tyre places always recommend 32 but you'll be back for a new set in no time as they split on the inside walls.
Since i've gone up to 38 i've done 7k miles and no problems. Would have needed a new set by now if i was on 32!

I'm running the same on my avant 1.9tdi sport.
Found 32 all round to be best for wear and grip. Anything over that would feel dangerous in the wet. I do 25k miles a year so have plenty of chances to see what works.
Is yours a sport or SE?

Mine's a sport too. The wheels are 5-spokers and (according to various eBay listings) are of the RS6 variety. Tyres are pretty much new, so no indication of how they're wearing.
What are the common choice of tyres for these then chaps? Falken has been mentioned to me. Those fitted are Kenda I think...never had them on a car before, only on my mountain bike! Seem okay so far...

I'm running on Kumho KU31's. Great in the wet and dry. Stick like glue and last me 20k on the front and a bit more on the rear. For about £110 each good value.
Mine are RS6 look-a-likes too.

Cool. Cheers for the recommendation. Have noted for when I next need tyres. Quick google and found local supplier & fitting for £108 each. Much better than £200-250 per tyre I'd seen for "premium" brands!:D
