No Radio Reception..

Hi All,

I have an Audi Convertible 2003 that is losing all radio reception and was hoping someone may tell me where the connections to the aerial is located on a cabrio ( or would it be the connection at the back of the radio ) ? It comes and goes so not sure what the actual problem is..

Any response appreciated.

Hi,
a mate of mine's got a 2004 cabrio and he had the same symptoms.
He ended up having a new aerial fitted - I believe it lives somewhere in the boot lid - good luck ( Audi told him it was a common fault on cabrio's)

I have a 52 1.9 130 with the concert system and it always looses the station in the same place on my journey to work. Im shure I read somewhere that the arial was incorporated into the rear screen so when the signal isnt that good it cant pick it up.

I have a 03 Cabrio and my radio looses its aerial connection after the roof has been open or shut. It is intermittent though. Anybody get to the bottom of this? My local ******** want £110 per hour just to look at it.

It is the connections/ leads going into the boot. On the Cab the aerial is under the boot lid I believe, and over time they occasionally fail, with the constant opening and closing of the boot.

The aerial is NOT in the rear screen, it would never work when the roof was down.
