Hello all,
First off, the car is an A4 1.8, 96. Have been three times over the last month to the local garage to have my air con topped up, the first time it leaked, the second time they put dye in it to trace the leak and they have finally traced the leakage to the seal at the pump and at the matrix. :mad:
They are going to recharge it a final time in the normal way but add a sealent cannister at the same time to try to 'plug' the leaks as they quoted silly money to have the leaking parts repaired.
My question is, has anyone tried this sealent stuff and how successful is it and is it really that much to replace bits and bobs of the air con?:confused:
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
