Best Oil For TDI?

Hi, I have an '04 plate TDI 2.0 Sport and want to know what the best oil for the car is? What do I need to be looking for?

I recently changed the oil in my Golf 1.9 GT TDI. I used Castrol Edge TURBO DIESEL 5W-40. It has the VW 505 501 spec and is designed for pumpe duse engines.

If you look up the section on oil in your manual, there should be a section on the type of oil you should be using and the VW specification, if applicable.
