Tiptronic fault?

Hi I have a 00 my A6 2.5 tdi tiptronic with a fault whenever you accelerate hard ie joining a motorway it seems to stay flat at 60 even if you drop down a gear the speed doesn't increase yet on other occasions it will fly up Also sometimes if you go up hills the speed will drop until you level out. Has anybody had this problem??

Are you sure this is the tipronic. I sounds like an engine fault. Regards Peter

definatly sounds engine related.

I'd start with a diesel filter.

or air mass meter is the first place i would start if its not getting the right info from that it will effect the gears ,clutch pressures and you will end up with a box rebuild........
