This isn't VAG specific, so leave it here :p

After getting the Polo lowered, I'm struggling to find a garage that is willing or capable of sorting the tracking for me (a lack of room between the wheel and arch?)

Does anyone know of any chains/indy's in or around the Manchester area that can do this for me?

i would have thought any tyre company would do it, or most small garages would

most garages will, but not for a lowered car with limited access to the arches.

I'm told (by these) that it's because they're using a tracking 'flag' system that mounts on the wheel, in the arch void.

It's not like I've already rung around 20 or so local garages or anything <sigh>

shame if you were closer id do it for you at work, its more to do with them not being bothered to work around the lower car more than anything TBH, hope you fine somewhere mate

aye I thought that, I've had a struggle before though with the coupé, with it being adjustable on one side only, it can prove to be a touch more work than more modern cars, the local autocentre and kwik fit declined it on that basis alone.

The last place I got it done at point blank refused on the basis of it being lowered.

Shame you're in bloody Devon!

well, just in case anyone else in the manchester area has this issue, Hyde Road wheels and tyres come very highly recommended.

They spent a good 15 minutes getting my car off the first ramp (upon which the polo had beached itself, stupid centre box )

laser alignment done for £25, perfect service and the reception lady wasn't too bad either :approve:
