The late Mrs AxeMurderer has managed a slight coming-together of both our cars. 'Her' Golf has some paint scraped off the bumper, which has come unclipped for a short section, and has a small kink in it. 'My' A6 has acquired some of her paint, also on the bumper. There is no metalwork damage to either car.
What are the smart repair options? A full-blown body shop seems over-the-top, but is this sort of thing beyond the capabilities of the dent repair outfits? Anything else we should be thinking about? This probably won't be an insurance claim.
(The A6 might T-cut out, I'll see in the morning)

Ouch! When is the funeral? ;)
I'd definitely try T-Cut on your A6 as a first step - if you're lucky the paint transfer from the Golf will come away easily - hope there are no scratches underneath!
For the Golf, it's worth getting quotes both from the likes of Chips Away and from a proper body shop. You may be surprised by how similar they are. Chips Away will also advise whether they can provide an effective repair or whether you must go the body shop route. When Mrs F reversed into a lamp post in her last A3, damaging the corner of the rear bumper, Chips Away managed to do a great repair, but I think the location and size of the repair is the deciding factor for them, and they advise you when they quote.
Good luck!!

Only yesterday had Chips Away repair a fairly serious bumper scrape on my A4 after I had decided to have a fight with the pebble dash wall next to my parking space and it deep gouges taken out of the front bumper.
They have done an excellent job and were pretty reasonable in price considering they were working on the car for 5 hours- they repaired some scratches on the rear bumper where I had pulled the hose covered in grit across it as well.

Thanks folks.
Good news on the A6: just plain washing it has removed 90% of the Golf's paint. T cut will probably do even better, but even as it stands it is minor enough to ignore (until the inevitable supermarket car park damage).
The Golf will need sorting though.

I'm sure chips away are good, but predominately there for "chips" as far as I'm aware. The guys may be a better option and certainly what I'd go for .....The use a SMART (Small Medium Area Repair Technique) repair and specialise in this process.
If I were you I'd type SMART repair into your browser, chances are you'll have someone fairly local who can give you a quote:beerchug:
