Where did you buy the AMM? I have a rule on TDI’s, no power, no codes, new AMM and I never buy AMM’s from anywhere except VAG. If it is going into limp (it resets when you cycle the ignition) then it must be logging a code.

AMM a new one from GFS car parts turing the ignition on and off does not help some times its ok and then some times theres no power above 2300 rpm

i think a check of the actuator operation would be a good next step, just one thing GSF sell 2 AMM ones a cheap thing and the other costs more which did you buy? i only ask because my local GSF wont sell the cheap ones as they ALWAYS get returned as faulty units

on my first scan had a maf fault so replaced the maf clearerd codes scaned again no faults found if it was going in to limp mode would the turbo spool up at arond 1500 RPM-2000 rpm because i nerver loss the turbo completly beacuse at the moment its just lacks the surge of power you used to get at 2000rpm ive done two trips to birimingham to coventry over the last two days

AMM’s from GSF are a nightmare. I may be wrong in your case but I will not trust an AMM unless it comes from VAG. A few months back I was forced to use an AMM from GSF due to a customer’s financial position, after THREE AMM’s of different makes I gave up and fitted a genuine VAG part, which cured the problem immediately.
