was changed week or so just befor i bought it def started playing up as i took a few bends/ roundabouts at speed when low on fuel then seemed ok for a mile or so as if ide sucked up some air but after turning off to refuel on restart its seems to be in limp mode runs sweet but just wont rev much over 2.5 k no codes no smoke no lights on dash tryed ing on flat on accelrator 15 secs then turnd off allso removed bat for a few hrs stilll same 1/4 of a tank of fuel wondering if needs more new to audi and dont want to just start guessing pulling things about as we all know where that leads cheers dave ps was playing about with the trip thing on the wiper stalk just befor prob allso
If its going into limp mode something must be giving a fault code, you will need a scan with vcds.

Hang on in there kudos the 2.5 tdi is a good motor, what did your mate use to scan it! you can try in the vcds user locations to get someone in your area,if there on genuinely no codes stored I would give the fuel system a good looking at is it the correct filter, can you rev it above 2.5k stationary?
