:1zhelp: Hi guys can anybody tell me where the central locking pump is on a coupe and i am also thinking about getting myself a vag com diagnostic tool the only thing is the cable will only fit a 4 wire set up and not the 3 wire one does anybody know whitch one is on a 1995 car. thanks bilko.

The saloon has the pump under boot carpet on rh side surrounded in foam casing. The plug may only be a two pin at side of fuse box

On coupes, it lives on top of the Drivers side rear wheel arch (behind the rear trim that would be a doorcard - if there was a rear door!)
Vag com should be able to work, you will need a 2x2 pin adaptor lead, 16v's seem to be tricky to communicate with, i've read that setting the baud rate to 4800bp/sec overcomes this
