The aux belt tensioner on my car was all twisted with the tensioner and fan pulleys rubbing togther so I replaced it. The problem seems to have been caused by the alternator pulley/clutch unit which is should free-wheel one direction but which seems solid.

My problem now is what pulley do I need?

My car is a 1998 A4 TDi, with the AFN engine, the alternator is a Bosch 0123 515 003 (audi 028 903 028). Does any body know what part number I need for the pulley, as one website says 028 903 119T and the main dealers say 028 903 119AN ?
Are they both the same or what?

I've had a look at the parts and i can't find the 119AN part number for the model you said.
I looked at the bosch and valeo alternator.

The 119T does seem like the correct part.
