Hi there,
New to site. Presently own a Subaru Impreza WRX 53' Reg.
Now advancing in years in both car and me (had the Impreza since new) and decided a new car is in order.
Set my sights on a A3 3.2 Quattro. Looking at about 2004-06 age.
Just wondering what your expert opinions are on them.
Looking at both private and dealer. Seen one in a Audi dealer in Beckenham but obviously on the high side due to it being a Main dealer.
Whats better, DSG or Manual? Im in the Army and our new trucks have a semi auto gearbox and although it was novel, all i do now is stick it in Auto....will it be the same with DSG?
Any pointers etc welcome.
Thanks in advance.

DSG is awesome if you get along with autoboxes. Have had a few with sluggish changes and jerking into 1st, so road test is in order, the gear changes should be almost seamless. As with all cars full service history, audi or not, is a good thing. Do not take an MOT as sign of the condition as the MOT standard is very low. And then all the normal stuff, brakes, tyres, exhaust, body repairs ie overspray etc. If you have a local garage you trust ask the to look it over. Other than that the 3.2 is a fab car but remember the fuel economy will be very poor if you drive hard. Which you will :-)
