:1zhelp:
Hi, does anyone know where I can get a set of std Main Bearings, 1 set of std Big end Bearings and a set of std thrust washers.
I have tried GSF and EuroCarParts but both are having difficulty sourcing the bearings. The engine is a late model with the seperate belt tensioner.
I have just had the engine statically balanced then dynamically balanced. The company I used is called Vibration Free near Bicester, they have done work for Renault F1, Force India and Nick Mason from Pink Floyd to name but a few.
They can be found at www.vibrationfree.co.uk (http://www.vibrationfree.co.uk) :approve:
Prices seem reasonable for the work they do.
Cheers, Graham.

KS or Kolbenschmidt supply the bearings to VAG, anywhere that deals with KS ought to be able to source these? I think they are common parts to more or less all of the 4 and 5 cyl petrol engines of the era

If you fancy doing some digging part no.s here (search by bore size 82.5mm page 159)
