Emission's Light - 1.9TDI 105 - Any ideas ?

The emission light on my sister MK5 1.9TDI 105 has come on..

Not had chance to read the codes yet, but was just wondering what factors can cause the light to come on ??

When the throttle body went on my 2.0 tdi, it put the emissions light on. I believe it to be farly common. Think the part is about 200 quid from memory. Only thing that give it away to me was I caught it rattling before it finally gave up.
