Air Con - Help !!! smells of Vinegar

I own a 2004 2.0 TDI golf with twin climate control / air con.

Last week it started to smell of vinegar, therefore i changed the cabin filter and also used a can of deodoriser for the 10 minutes etc to try and resolve it.

It improved a bit for a few days, but there was a little lingering mell, and has now come back as strong as before.

The air con is still cold and does not to be re-gased

Do i need to service anything else ?
Is there any drain plugs or other elements that need to be cleaned ?

Any help would be appreciated

Go to Halfords and get an aircon cleaning kit, follow instructions ... sorted :-)

I had similar when i got my climate control golf - have you tried it with max hot/heat setting for a while before returning to min/cold setting - it worked for me

I get this and deal with it using the type of cleaner you can get in Halfords, it works quite well.
