Hi Guy and Girls

Recently got a 2.0 Gti Golf but having a couple of issues if anyone could mabye shed some light for me?

1) Starter sounds like its spins for a second after car starts is this fixable?

2) Theres a bad clunk at the front when i hit a pot hole is this likely to be the Anti roll bar bushes or the actual anti roll bar?

3)Passenger door handle needs pulled twice from outside to open?

4) Rear window motor works and slider goes down but glass dosnt, until you manually slide it down but it goes back up as it should?

Sorry for all the questions but any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like the starter is getting noisy, you will have to fit a rebuilt unit.

The clunk is likely to be the anti roll bar is corroded under the inner bushes.

The cable attached to the handle from the lock mechanism has been set too tight.

The widow regulator needs a rebuild kit.

The motor is easy enough to remove, so I would suggest removing it to have a look. It may just be dry and need a lube in the right places.

Door window - This might just be a stiff glass which has become loose in the groove that it sits in on the mechanism - hopefully! Worth checking first at least. The window mechanism replacement (if it's broken) is a pig of a job on back doors, so I hope it isn't broken. From my experience of the plastic mechanism breaking, the window goes down quickly with a bang and won't come back up again......
