RCD 510 Firmware

Golf Plus 1.9tdi 55 plate

Have just fitted a RCD 510 and have got BATTERY DRAIN overnight.

Want to Change Firmware to 1100 or lower. ( will do CanBus upgrade at a later date )

How do I do it and where can I obtain Firmware:1zhelp:

Any help please.

Go to VWnav .com RNS 510 section. and do you mean RNS ? as the firmware there is for the Nav unit, never seen RCD being updated ect. see this site :-

Yes it is a RCD 510, Drain 0.8 amps when switched off.

VW Dealer knows about the issue but wants £50 to diagnose then if CanBus Module a further £149 + £50 to Vag Com the new unit.

Has anybody fitted a new CanBus Module and has Info about VagCom?? :1zhelp:

Is it possible to downgrade firmware with "Bricking It"?

Cannot find a Firmware Downgrade for Radio so going down the Can Gateway route getting a "1K0 907 530 AD" module

I have seen the info on the web about the upgrade but would like to here any helpful advice, VagCom etc. :1zhelp:
