Audi Coupe 2ltr 16v (ACE) 1993 - Engine quiz :)

Hi folks,

As one or two of you may have noticed I've posted a few queries over the last week or so, this is due to recently buying my new Coupe. Anyway, I've got several issues, and I'm trying to do my bit by trawling the forum for the answers, as lets face it, most of the problems we get these days aren't new ones. So I've read about ISV, TPS, cold start valves, meter heads, CSV, etc but I don't know what they are, and more importantly, I don't know where they are. What I'm hoping some of you kind souls will do is help me with the picture of my engine below. I've numbered as many parts as I can and would like, if possible, for us to identify them. Any abbreviations would be even better if they have their full name in brackets or something, so CSV (Cold Start Valve). I've made a start, but am no doubt wrong on several occasions, so please correct me as necessary...

1 - Suspension top mount
2 - Brake fluid reservoir
3 - Breather pipe
4 - Inlet manifold
5 - HT Leads (Attach to Distributor (Dizzy))
6 - Idle stabilisation valve (ISV) (controls the idle under all load/temp conditions)
8 - Ignition module
9 - Coil
10 - Coolant pipes to heater matrix
11 - Knock sensor wiring plugs
12 - Looks like the wiring loom
13 - Alarm?
15 - Steering damper
16 - ABS modulator
17 - Coolant/Anti-freeze expansion tank
18 - Power steering reservoir
19 - Battery
20 - Coolant return hose
21 - Tie rod
22 - Power steering hose
25 - Oil dip stick
26 - Coolant pipe
27 - Alternator
28 - Radiator Fans (Attached to radiator!)
29 - Timing/Cam belt cover (Cam belt inside)
30 - Oil cap
31 - Injector
32 - HT leads (Attach to spark plugs x 4)
33 - Rocker Cover
34 - Air box to inlet manifold hose
35 - Cold air feed
36 - Braided fuel lines to injectors (One of these goes to the fifth or cold start injector)
37 - Inlet hose
38 - Throttle body
39 - Accelerator cable
40 - Metering head
41 - Air filter box

If there are any other parts I've not marked up, either try to point me in the right direction and I'll edit the picture, or save the picture, edit it as necessary...

Cheers Zollaf, you are a star! I have to admit I posted the same picture on another forum and they helped out to, as you can see we've almost finished the list.

I'm tempted to take another shot so as I've got everything in, as I managed to miss a couple of parts down the left side, I could try and get fancy and take close ups of the harder to see parts and stick them next to them in the list...

no worries, no 14 is abs ecu.

23 is a pas pipe, and 24 is the cold start injector.

the one i dont get is number 7. there appears to be no no. 7 on your piccie. we all know that these cars dont work without a no.7.
thats a really impressively clean engine bay you have there though.

Turns out I don't like the number 7! :P

Yeah it's fairly clean, apart from a leak around the rocker gasket, which I'm looking to tackle today or over the weekend. I'm building up the courage to do the cam belt and chain, and whilst in there doing the chain will replace the rocker gasket...

In there somewhere no doubt, where are the twin horns located and what causes one to suddenly stop working ?? More to the point, how do I get them both working again ??
