Hi Guys,

Ok, so a very common (it seems) overboost issue. Normally first thing, start the car up get to 2000 revs and the turbo doesn't kick in. Pull up, turn the igntion off and on, and the car is fine again. Took the car in for some work and the guys pulled this fault code out. I didn't ask them to investigate as worried about the potential cost and as the problem wasn't consistently felt it would be hard work getting them to understand the issue.

Can someone give me some indepth knowledge about this fault code and the possible resolution?

16627 P0243 Turbocharger Wastegate Solenoid (A) Open/Short Circuit to Ground *i googled the number and got this explanation.

Thanks in advance!

And what engine do you have, petrol or diesel?

Sorry Crasher, realised I hadn't put the most important information, but you had already posted.

Basically it is saying that the wiring to/or the N75 valve itself is open circuit so broken or disconnected. Check fuse 10 in the engine bay fuse holder and if it is OK, check the wiring to the N75 valve,

Can anyone lay their hands on a walkthrough on how to replace the N75? I've had a look through various forums, but nothing has really stood out.

Crasher - still getting the same error code, after ruling out any wiring issues. Going to check all the hoses and possibly replace as from what I've read this seems to solve it for most people.

I had this a few weeks ago and it was a broken wire at the N75 valve.
