Hi

Have just bought & registered my vcds lite. Been having problems with my climate control not working, hence my pruchase. Am using a Gendan cable. Cannot seem to communicate with the climate control system. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Could it be the cable ?, and if so, any idea how much Ross-tech would charge for one of theirs (taking into account I have just paid the $99 registration fee.

Car is a 2002 A6 avant 1.9 TDI.

Cheers in advance.

Hi,
I had the same problem using a 3rd party interface, it turned out to be poor latency due to the default 16ms latency selected in virtual com port:I changed it to 2ms instead and it now reads 08 Auto HVAC with no problem.

Wel, setting the latency to 2ms works for the HVAC module however now VCDS-Lite cannot find other modules......

My air-conditioning A6 1.9Tdi isn't working yet there are no errors reported.

Where can I find info about which measurement blocks I should choose to find out more details of the system? The generic Roos manual doesn't seem to have a list.

I didn’t have any problems with any of the controllers once I set the latency to 2ms, have you tried changing it to another value – say something between 2 and 16?
