USB iPhone charger drain battery?

Hi Guys

Just got myself an iPhone 4 and bought the Kensington USB Car Charger for iPhone and iPod from Amazon.

If I leave the charger permanently plugged into my car socket will it drain the battery or do the ports switch off when I take the key out of the ignition?

My car is Audi A4 Executive SE 143

The most logical assumption I agree.

However, some devices may drain (in this case the iphone4) if left plugged in to a charging source that is not live.

In my 58 plate S-line the sockets (at least the ones in the arm-rest and ashtray) switch off when the ignition is off.

Not sure about the boot one.
