GTI side skirts

whats the difference between 3 and 5 dr skirts? also whats the best way to fit them, or is it jst a case of buying a fitting kit from vw?

Get the fitting kit. All in about £110 from vw. You get the sills, special screws and trim whihc goes over the screws. You will need to drill holes in the sills for the special srews to fit. I think there are 8 each side. Just did mine about 2 months ago. You will prob find links to aid your attempts at fitting on this site but if you have common sense you should be ok. By the way, the sills come with adhesive tape. dont be tempted to only use the adhesive tape you must put the screws and trims on. the sills will fall down otherwise

hi mate, ive got all the bits now, and found a thread about fitting them, im just not that keen on putting holes in my sills if you know what i mean, i thought about tigersealing the bars on but still cant decide

got them all fitted now, took about an hour to do and im pleased with the look of them
