Engine warning light on

Couple of days ago the yellow engine sign came on and it stays on... I read the fault codes and it indicates a problem with the exhaust pressure sensor. What is this - is it straightforward to repair?

Car is a TDI170 with about 26K miles on the clock.

Hi,

The exhaust pressure sensor if a little fiddly to replace, but only takes about 25 mins.

However it does need adapting afterwards which you may not be able to do.

There is a recall on some models so maybe contact your local VW dealer and ask if your car is affected?

Thanks. I've read somewhere that the recall detunes the engine down to 155bhp - can anyone confirm this?
