Armrest Problem

Afternoon All,

Had my 2.0t A4 SLine for a few weeks now and everything is good apart from a couple of things that I hope someone on here could help with...

Door seals are squeaking / creaking when wet but reading on here it appears to be fairly common so will get it booked in.

Biggest problem or annoyance is with the armrest, in the book it states that to release it back to the fully down position you simply lift up and lower down off the ratchet, but no matter what i try it always catches the ratchet on the way down so takes about 5 - 10 attempts to get it fully down.

Is it knackered or is there a knack to doing this ?

On another note is there a definate answer as to whether the standard A4 mudflaps fit the sline, audi are adamant they dont fit but seems to be a few threads stating that they fit fine on the sline?

When I 'discovered' my arm-rest ratcheted, I tried it out a fair bit and it works like a charm. Raise it up, let it lock in place, raise it up again and drop it down...

It just works for me, I'm not having to take any great care, or anything, with it.

Try raising up to different levels, consistently, before smoothly going back down. Try going back down at different speeds. I can't remember exactly how I do it, as it's always been natural to me.

I'd, personally, spend a bit of time making sure it's not working correctly before taking it in, as you'll look a little silly if you can't figure it out and it's working as it's supposed to.
