2000 x reg 2.0 gti

hi there im looking at buying a 2000 x reg 2.0 gti 3dr and im just wondering if theres anything (problems etc) i should be looking for.
the car has got just over 70k and seems to be in good nick with full service history. ive looked at quite a few similair cars and all seem to need new rear discs and pads around this mileage and above, is this a common thing?
any help/info greatly appreciated. thanks

Listen for knocking coming from the front suspension, ARB bushes may need replacing, also crashing over bumps and small inperfections in the road from the back, may need new rear axel bushes.
