Hi Guys
Dont know if you can help me but am looking at getting some new tyres for my A4, at the moment I have Bridgestone 18" 245/45 and to be honest the are very noisy and have only lasted just over 12000 miles.

I am looking for something that will be a bit quieter on the road and will at least give 24000+ miles.

Many Thanks

depend on your buget really, i was recommended the hankook ventus v12 evo k110 and had all 4 fitted for less than £500 and they have not let go yet but if ££ is no object then its probley going to be michelin ps2/ ps3 all the way, type tyre review in google and there is a fantastic site that has tested most of the top tyres, i wont post the link coz am not sure if its allowed :D:D

Thanks for the info, I have been looking at the Hankook's, I want something that is going to last and offer reasonable grip, boy racer days have gone now so as long as it stops when it should I don't care what make the tyres will be.
Haven't go a massive £££ to spend so as said looking for reasonable grip, good wearing and quite road noise, as the Bridgestone's on the car are very noisy I have found

Try looking on blackcircles.com, they have reviews on many of the tryes and although they no longer rate aspects like road noise from 1 - 5 they still rate the tyres generally. I have used them 3 times now and cannot fault them for price or service. I have the same tyres as you and have also noticed the noise and also the lack of grip in the wet. The last 2 sets of tyres on my previous car (Saab 9-3) were Toyo Proxes T1-R's and these were great in the wet and dry as well as quiet. I do less motorway driving now than when in my Saab but the Bridgestones are certainly wearing a lot faster so my next set will be some Toyo's. Hope this helps.

I've swapped to Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta, they're approx £160/corner and I think they're much better than factory fit, however they're a tad difficult to get hold of.

Get very good reviews and seem a good compromise between grip and tyre-life,

Excellent in the wet but bloody terrible in snow!
