air con compressor relocation?

hi im new here (hello everyone):Blush:


I was wondering if its possible to relocate the compressor for the air con as its been removed prior to purchase to fit the supercharger , is it able to go any where else (im not a mechanic)


about 3 months ago i purchased a nice looking 2000 v6 4motion with a vortech v9f supercharger on it ! and for 2 months and 3 weeks its been in the garage :mad: spent loads trying to get it right and running properly

anyone have a supercharged 4 mo?

Hello and welcome to the forum.

They have been done on left hand drive cars as the unit can be located over the back of the engine but on right hand drive the servo and master cylinder get in the way. This is why turbo’s are more popular on the V6 as they don’t have belt drives and the location over the back of the engine can fill an empty(ish) space.

I could not live without AC now in the summer after having been spoilt by it. My wife was driving older cars without AC up until a few weeks ago and she now really appreciates her Polo’s AC but (says) she could live without it.
