What sort of mileage would you expect from the front tyres on a 2007 A4 2.0 TDI. Mine have lasted 13000 miles with the nearside worn away on the outside edge, getting geometry checked at dealers under warranty. Tyres have been replaced with Bridgestone Potenza's as originally fitted.

alot of it is down to driving style, acceleration, braking and cornering.

The car is not driven hard, don't accelerate hard. Just expected a few more than 13000 miles.

i have potenzas on my golf.

although i can drive it hard as the temptation is the following a remap. It can't help my case having 15 miles of very twisty roads to and from work each day.

maybe if i were to use the motorway and go in straight lines rather than corners and do an extra 6 miles each way, my tyres may last longer.

13k is about right if you accelerate hard quite a lot.

I tend to only accelerate hard in 3rd, 4th and 5th. I don't corner hard as I know this will wear tyres quickly, I do brake hard sometimes and this will have an effect on wear.

What's your average miles per tank?

My average mileage on a tank of fuel is about 650-700 miles, the car is in at the dealers now having some recall work done in addition to the goemetry check as one of the tyres was worn on the outer edge.
If something is untowards on the geometry I think I will ask them to contribute towards the new tyres.
