I have always wanted Q7, and finally took the plunge on Saturday. Ordered new Q7 50 TDI Black edition, and pretty much maxed it out on all options. Not that they were that many in UK, but what has annoied me is that there was no option to have the heads up display unless I go for Vorsprung. What a shame. I am coming from A7 BiTDI Black edition, which was the dealer demonstrator, and was fully loaded, and really loved the Heads up display. I wonder how much will cost to retrofit it.
Nevertheless I am excited. Now the great wait. Dealer advices 16-18 weeks.

Congrats mate!!! What spec did you get?

Can be done but you need a new dash and windscreen too!

I got the Comfort and Sound pack, Audi virtual cockpit Plus, Tour pack. The others were no interest of me.

There’s £11k loyalty + £5k ‘new’ deposit contributions about at the moment. It’ll likely work out cheaper buying a Vorsprung on PCP...even if you withdraw from the finance.

I got all those discounts on my order, thats why I took the plunge. Vorsprung was about 15k more, regardless of any discounts, and the only option that I was interested in it was the heads up display. Not at that cost of course.

What’s the deal with windscreen Andy, does it have some special coating in the HUD area? I never realised. OP... first car I’ve had with HUD and would highly recommend it, keeps your eyes on the road much more with vital stats in the windscreen.

How do you get the ‘loyalty’ discount? Do they just happily give or do you need to mention etc

I don’t think the loyalty discount is particularly hard to get if anyone is keen on a new motor.

I got £15k off the RRP for my Q7 which I imagine is this £10k loyalty plus £5k deposit contribution

And I didn’t own an Audi prior to this one

Totally right. I think they just call it loyalty discount, but the fact is that following Diselgate, Audi has lost future value of theirs cars, and many cars on PCP have gone in negative equity, so they are tricking the customers to think they have a discount, but when they decide to return the vehicle, they will get undervalued, and some of that discount will be recovered by Audi.
