What are people’s thoughts and opinions on tuning boxes? In particular DTUK and TDI Tuning?
My car is still under the manufacturers warranty, so having something that can be removed without trace would be preferable at this moment in time.

Like an old garage sage said to me one time ‘if you want more power, get a bigger engine’. Unless you’ve got an RS6 the world’s your oyster. Out of interest, why did you buy the one you have if you wanted more go?

I’ve used tuning boxes on several cars.
2.5tdi 180bhp for 9yrs, 3.0tdi 240ps for 8yrs amongst others. Never had any issues related to them.
Current 3.0tdi 272ps has a more up to date box on from Bluespark Automotive, it’s good.
I have cars out of warranty though. I don’t think the dealers would go looking for signs of a box fitted for most claims under warranty.
Go for a reputable firm that do not claim the most power or torque.
I’ve dealt with dtuk many years ago and went elsewhere. My recent choice was tdi tuning or Bluespark, went with the latter as they are close to me. Excellent customer service, advice so far.

Im sure everyone would like a little more ‘go’ from time to time.
This car was at a brilliant price and came with all of the spec I wanted.
If we all bought the car we ‘wanted’ we’d all have RS6’s...

Thank you for your response, but after considering everything, I think I’ll wait till the warranty expires and get it remapped.

Thank you all for your thoughts/opinions.

Good decision, we've had a lot of unnecessary drama before when someone (against the advice of most people) remapped his car, only for him to get an email from Audi threatening to revoke the warranty on the power train.
