    Question High pressure fuel pump replacement I THINK? – 29-11-2008,03:25 PM
    Hi,
    I have an Audi A4 2005 2.0 TDI Avant. I think the high pressure fuel pump has failed and will need to be replaced. I have fuel going up to the low pressure pump / filter I have sprayed some carburettor cleaner into the engine just to see if it would turn and it did. This means fuel is not getting to the High pressure fuel pump what do you think?
    Any idea what I could be paying for the part and how long do you think the work would take?

    pump cost £250 -£300 ish new and takes about 1 hour to fit, but fault can also be caused by injectors etc not firing

    It was the oil filter
