    What would be considered a reasonable price to have a new bearing fitted to my 2001 2.0l GTI (115bhp)?,i've been quoted £100 does this seem ok?

    it's about an hours labour and then the cost of the bearing about £35 approx

    dont the rears come with the hub? cos i am sure they do hence the price
    I dont work here for the pay,or the enjoyment,so why do i work here

    The rear hubs actually the rear brake disc and you press the bearings in.

    Does anybody know the torque setting of centre hub nut (that locks it all together?)

    No, it is a separate unit, nothing like a Golf 2 and 3.

    175Nm, you MUST use a new nut, part number N 906 545 02, £6.50
