Anybody recommend a brand of pads for this? I'll do the fronts myself if they're that simple.

I can get a set of Brembo pads, for £79.60 from buycarparts.co.uk

How to change the front brakes on an Audi Q7 2015 with Rotors and brake pad sensor - YouTube 15 minutes per wheel to change the pads and discs!

Say half an hour labour total for just the pads, plus £75 for the pads (I suspect an Audi dealer pays a lot less) and that's coming in at nearly a £1,000 per hour, for labour charges.

Had a quote from another Audi dealer of £500 for front brake-pads.

Both quoted £1100 for pads and discs.

I've just had a conversation with my local independent garage, who has given me the unwelcome news, that 'these pads are still in development and only available from a main dealer, at £300+...' which at least explains why it's £500+ all-in from Audi.

The part number he quoted me, is 8M0698151T for 375mm discs. However looking on places like eBay, I see the following OEM part numbers 4M0698151AA, 4M0698151H, 4M0698151T, 8W0698151N.

FOR AUDI Q7 4MB 2015- FRONT PREMIUM BORG & BECK BRAKE DISC PADS SET | eBay

I've got 21" wheels and sites such as Parts search don't even have 375mm discs.

Looks as though I'm going to have to bite the bullet and pay a main Audi dealer to do the work.

For Q7 4M it goes a bit different than for Q7 4L (as on video), but still easy. If you want to see the detailed instruction register yourself on www.erwin.audi.com , pay 7 Euro for 1 hour access and download and print the instruction.

I've given up and accepted the 500 quid bill. Hopefully it will engender some good-will with the dealer.

Just had my rear pads replaced by an independent VAG specialist, used Brembo’s. £204. Versus the main dealer quoted me almost double that...
