    hi all.
got in my car yesterday and as i reversed out of the drive i noticed my auto dip rear view mirror has turned into some sort of lava lamp like thing... id say 95% of it is stuck in "dip" mode while there is a bubble shaped bit near the top that is in "normal" mode. the bubbly bit seems to move about a bit???? im guessing its knackered but does anyone know of a vw breakers that might have one and how to remove it, i dont want to pull too hard *** its fixed to the rain sensor.

last thing i did was look in it... oh, well thanks mirror, that was nice!!!!!! i take the hint!!

If you unclip the 2 half cover trims from the mirror base/stalk. You should then find that the mirror stalk can be slid up/down (can't remember which sorry!) off the mounting plate which is bonded to the windscreen and also carries the rain sensor.
