    well you were right - took it in - they spent an hour on it and said they couldnt find the fault and need it to be booked back in

    They are looking at it wednesday

    so its not the fan units themselves / or the thermo switch.

    Any ideas whta else it could be? In a way im happy its not the fans as having done some research on here they are not cheap items to replace but at the same time bit nervouse as to what else it could be / cost to repair it

    so picking the car up from the audi dealer this afternoon they have spent 4 hours on it and have traced the fault ot a switch on the fan that is shorting out

    £72 for the new switch and 1 hour labour charge

    Has this fixed the fault? I have a vw touran tdi thats doing something similar, the drivers side cooling fan is staying on when i turn the engine off and wont stop unless i disconnect the battery!!!!!

    Any news would be appreciated....
