    Hi

I have a 4motion Passat 130 tdi estate. It feels slightly rough as if something is out of balance. All wheels balanced and tracking carried out. just had both outer front CV joints replaced by VW and the problem is even more noticable now. Any ideas or anyone had this sort of problem before?

    Hi Stewy

    120k Full VAGSH
Both outer front CV joints changed due to being dry and clicking
VAG has looked at the suspension joints etc and says all seems ok, wait for it to develop
    What is DMF?
No one has looked at engine/gearbox mounts nor UJ joints to rear axle except they look fine from the outside
    All suspension bushes seem fine
It is still there when the clutch is dipped suggesting something rolling like a tyre or bearing but there is no noise, presumably dipping the cluth will rule out flywheel issues as engine is only at idle?

Tracking on 4 wheels just carried out and balancing all round, twice.

More noticable from 40mph upwards but still there at lower speeds, can be felt through the pedal like a metallic pulse

    Thanks

    Hi

Have a look at my reply to Stewey

Does not seem like an engine problem as still there when clutch is dipped. Feels like a metallic rolling issue, slight pulse through pedal.

Are you based near Congleton? its not that far away from me, I am near Mold.
