    Hello

Can anyone help with a persistent problem with my Audi A4 2.0 2002.

The engine management system warning light keeps coming on. I have reset it with my handheld but it still happens. The DTC displayed is 16804?

I have taken it to an approved mechanic three times now with the same problem and although the first time the lambda sensor was change after a couple of days the warning light still comes on?

After the first time , the mechanic has said he can find no faults and does not recognise the above code? He has also had an auto electrician to check the wiring and to do a road test but still no cure

This is all new to me , so any help would be appreciated.

The fault is due to the lamda/oxyegen sensor look here

    http://wiki.ross-tech.com/index.php/16804/P0420/001056

it need to be chaged as is probalbly gone faulty, they can cause other fault code to appear (lean mixture/misfiring etc) but theese should go once done.

They cost around £80 to £100 pounds depending on the type installed.

Thanks for the quick response Rob.

when i looked on the net for this problem , they all directed me in this direction but the Lambda sensor was the original fault when i first took it in. They said that this had been changed? It was done about 8 months ago?

Could it have gone faulty this soon?
