    Hi,

I have recently had a replacement windscreen fitted by autoglass. I hav e found that the anti-dazzle strip at the top of the screen is much deeper and a different colour.

The original is 130 mm deep and is a blue/green colour when viewed through the front of the screen from the outside with a white board held against the glass on the inside, and shows a blue/green colour in sunlight when viewed from the inside.

The new screen has a 170 mm deep strip that shows grey when viewed from the outside, but shows a Dark PINK in sunlight when viewed from the inside.

Autoglass have said that it is an aftermarket glass and not an Audi original, but they did not tell me that until I complained. Bad policy I think.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

My windscreen just cracked tody from a joker who HAD to pull out in front of me on a slightly gravelly road. Great.

Anyhow, any recommended screen fitters in teh South East and any precautions to be aware of? On the Corrado, it is advisable to remove all teh internal trim as they tend to just rip them off and it is a bit fiddly tbh. Is it simple to remove the required trim and should the wipers also be removed? any pointers would be agreat help. TIA.
