hi, when i start my van in the morning i get a very faint puff of white smoke for about a second, i was just wondering if this was anything to worry about or is this normal ???. everything else with the van is cool, i.e runs fine, starts fine, pulls fine, dosnt lose any antifreeze, it has 60,000 miles on the clock, cheers in advance.

White smoke is indicative of un-burnt fuel within the piston / combustion chamber, it usually indicates one of the injectors dribbling while stood over night. Its the pintle part of the injector (needle) its dont quite seat proper and then proceeds to drip - drip - drip while the engine is off.
You probably have only 1/4 leaking but the rest will doubtless follow, ie it will get worse when 2/4 dribble and eventually 4/4 dribble. Live with it at the moment but plan to have the injectors overhauled sometime next 18 months. Not too difficult with your 4 pot engine though, at least you can work on it from the top!!
