mk4 golf abs light - viewing

Hi,

Im going to view a mk4 golf 1.8t tonite for a good price but he says since put the car up for sale the abs light has came on which he says he thinks its the abs sensor, is this right?

what else could be wrong with it? expensive fix?

anything else to look out for on this car?

Could be a sensor (cheap and easy) or the pump/ECU (not cheap), the only well to tell is with a fault code read.

thanks, looks like im gonna leave it then :-( good price as well! oh well! maybe thats why its a good price.

i really need to invest in a vag-com cable. anyone know if the £15 ones on ebay are up the job?
