The hardware is already installed in the 5f control unit (depending on pr number)but not enabled if it was not specified

Its been a closed shop on this little retro fit same as ami, where again you add the ami wiring and enable it.

Be interesting to carry this out as there seems to be plenty of ebay sellers offering the service at ££££££.

I became interested in this recently when looking through the green menu for dvd ripping and the owner mentioned he had just had the phone enabled by an ebay seller

Looked at a few different vehicles then went about the long haul google process and forums which have deleted the information for obvious financial reasons

Post up your menu from the settings screen

with bluetooth phone and dvd rip enabled plus ami

No doubt sds needs enabling plus the usual long code changes for mfsw etc

My interest is for educational purposes
A8Tech, does this mean you can use BT to connect to google maps via a mobile phone? This is the mod I ultimately want

Look in the User Location subforum of the VCDS section. You'll also find a user map.

Any chance a Moderator on this forum can update the original post of this thread with a list of all VCDS tweaks available for the B8? Saves having to scroll through the pages and makes it easier for someone to find them right away... I've got the below from another forum (American but coding should be the same). I plan on getting some of these done soon and a list on first page will help. Unfortunately I don't have the correct ABS module for TPMS (one of best tweaks I have found and something which would have helped greatly a couple weeks ago)

For reference (not sure I can post links to other forums but referenced so it doesn't look like i'm taking credit for the below) - VCDS & Hidden menu: The complete list

*Suggestion: Print this and check off the mods you've activated and store it with your owner's manual - Will come handy when you need to re-do the coding after an ECU flash.

Here's the list I've compiled so far:

    • Disable After-wipe of windscreen wipers
    • Disable amber corner lights
    • Disable amber side markers
    • Disable Key warning (keyless models)
