Are they easy to fit? I'm toying with the idea of getting one for my A4. Am I right in assuming that I need to buy bars for it and then fit the box separately or some come with them?

Yes, you need to buy the bars separate.

I've used a Thule box before and that was very easy to fit - within five minutes type easy!

I use roofbars alot (for surfboards) and would recommend you spend a bit more to get some decent ones - they tend to be quicker to fit and give you peice of mind that you have a secure attachment.

Although if it's only going to be one off use, or not very often, then the cheaper ones will suffice - just not as nice to fit.

There is a good second hand market for roof bars, so they do retain a reasonable value should you change your car.

Agree totally full range of Thule roofboxes in stock and if you are near enough to get to one of our 5 depots, free fitting is included in the price.

the odyssey & most roofboxes come with a U-bolt system, rubber pad , metal plate and 2 x screw nuts which is quite easy to fit but quite time consuming

the thule atlantis & pacific range is the easiest of them all with a simple turning knob to tighten

Thule also distribute the odyssey roofbox range, dont look as stylish but do the job just the same.

All our roofboxes are covered by our price promise, see it cheaper we will beat it.
