The cam is £385 but there is a lot more to it than that. Typically, to do the job correctly costs around £1300.

my car makes the same sound as this one in the video

    http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/10...t=P1000569.flv

but there is no power loss, runs perfectly. When you rev it a few times the sound goes. The sound does not get louder when reving it.

could it be the DMF is so if i press the clutch down should the sound go or decrease?

    thanks

The noise may decrease with the clutch depressed if it is a failed DMF, I think you need to take it to an experienced VAG mechanic for a listen to see if it is cam of DMF. If you leave it too long and it is the cam, it can damage the head.

Here is a video of my engine, you can hear the tapping sound, it sounds as something is trapped and not spining freley.

A lumpy idle can be a sign of cam problems which can make a weak DMF rattle. The distinguishing feature of DMF failure is that the rattle is hard edged (like a hammer blow) and irregular where cam follower failure is very regular.
