    can anyone advise how to stop my central locking freezing up? I'm reluctant to go out in my VW K reg Golf incase i get stuck once i finally get it to unlock.

    Haha! Sorry, shouldnt laugh but Im having the exact same problem at the moment. My passenger door flew open whilst driving away from my house because the lock was frozen and wasnt catching properly! I also got stuck in my car yesterday when I got to work and had to literally kick the door open

    Im not sure if there's anything you can do, but it's a pain in the **** and I know how you feel!

    (Pointless reply - sorry lol)

    well have bought some 3 in 1 oil total and some vaseline and plastered it round the door seals as they say oil doesn't freeze, so am hoping it wont stick- but that hasn't solved the central locking that won't undo!
