    Hello All

New here so looking for some advice.

I have a 2007 A4 Avant S Line and when I unlocked the car the other evening I saw that a small red led light was flashing on the actual headlight switch (the part that turns). It went out once I turned on the lights and started the engine. The car just has standard lamps and not automatic.

I have checked the manual and even rang my local Audi centre and no one seems to know.

Has anyone else noticed this ?

    Thanks

    Sid

Yes mine does this too- and it happened in my previous B7. There is nothing I can see going wrong with the headlights so maybe it is some automatic start up check the lights do.

Yeah,it does light-up as you open the car, same as the hazard switch illuminates, just so you can see them in the dark!!

Hi there, I am a new a4 owner and i have noticed exactly the same thing with my h/l switch-generally it comes on first startup of the day, then starts to flash sometimes fast, sometimes more slowly, there seems to be a positively spaced flash rather than an erratic bad connection flicker. It defies all logic, and seems to serve no purpose .Annoyingly, at night when it needs to be permanently lit, it is invariably completely off I can only assume then that it is a fault of some sort, the manual makes no mention of it,any ideas, pass `em on!-cheers Bob `C`

Hello, Did any body get to the botton of this light flicker thing, I noticed mine doing it last night. It seems to be like a bad conection sort of flicker as it does what it likes, all other lights come on and go out as they should do.

Thats just the same as mine, at first i thought it was flashing at a regular rate, but now i am of the opinion that it IS a bad connection/dodgy diode-it seems to have a mind all of its own, comes on/goes off as it pleases!
