2000wgolf gti disconnected battery to recharge, after reconnection the tickover is erractic.when you come to a hault the tickover drops down to approx 6500rpm then goes up to the correct revs and keeps going up and down for approx 10secs before finally ticking over correctly.i did the 30second ignition resett that it says in the handbook but this has made no differance.pls advise.
