I've been toying with the idea of upgrading my stereo for the Navigation plus model.....

Had a look through eBay and they all seem to come from eastern europe?!? Is there a reason for this? Maybe I'm missing something.

I would appreciate any kind of advice on whether I should avoid these sellers or not and whether or not the conversion is easy enough to do.

    Any input appreciated.

Conversion is easy. Especially if your current stereo is doulbe DIN size. Loads of info on here. I bought from Lithuania for a friend, it arrived in 5 days as has worked with no problems for over 18 months.

As for where they are sourced then I couldnt say. Maybe people in Germany/Eastern Europe have contacts with the factory and other parts suppliers/re-furbishers?

I wondered wether some could be stolen? But the one I got came with original Audi code card and all the extras required. There cant be that many Audi's in Lithuania that keep having the nav units stolen though can they?!

bez101, I must have missed your "buy it now" option, what were you asking for it? Don't suppose you could do a good deal for a fellow forum member?

Issac, it was actually looking at your set-up in the i-pod thread that prompted me to go down this route
Luckily my head unit is a double with the cd multi changer built in.

No - But I do know quite a lot were stolen from Audi / the manufacturers direct, hence coming all shiny and new with their code cards....
